Seomjingang is located in Omi Village, one of the most propitious sites in Korea, in front of Unjoru and Gokjeonjae Houses. Located right next to the Toji-myeon Community Health Center and a wide road, it is easy to find. Across from the restaurant is the front gate to Toji Elementary School. This is a restaurant that specializes in marsh snails, a delicacy that can only be caught from the clean water of the upper Seomjingang River at Imsil and Gurye.

The marsh snail catch is plentiful in spring and fall. During summer, the water is too deep, and during winter, the snails do not yield much meat so the restaurant catches and preserves snails to serve year-round. The restaurant has perfected its own secret preserving method. After blanching the marsh snails quickly in water, the flesh is removed from the shell using a toothpick or similar tool, requiring care and attention. The restaurant processes 70~80kgs of snails on average daily. Using the snail flesh, they prepare hangover soup and hand-pulled dough soup, which are the most popular dishes at the restaurant. They also prepare clear marsh snail soup without using soybean paste. The restaurant has been open for eight years now and is one of only a few marsh snail restaurants in Gurye and Hadong.
