Unbong-eup → Seorim Park → Singi Village → Bijeon Village → Holy Land of Korean Traditional Music → Gunhwa Village → Heungbugol Natural Recreation Forest → Daroreum Village → Inwol-myeon
This is a 10km stretch trail connecting Dongcheon-ri, Unbong-eup to Inwol-ri, Inwol-myeon in the City of Namwon. The section between Unbong and Inwol offers a great view of Baraebong Peak and Goribong Peak to the right along the northwestern ridge of Jirisan Mountain, and Gonamsan Mountain and Sujeongbong Peak to the left along the Baekdudaegan. This section of the trail situated in Unbong Highland is composed of the Old Tongyeong Byeollo-gil (Tongyeong Byeollo Road) and Jebang-gil (Embankment Road).
The Unbong-Inwol Section in the wide plains of Unbong is a great location to walk freely while sightseeing the northwestern ridge of Jirisan Mountain and Baekdudaeganl at the same time. The entire section of the 10km long trail is made up of embankment road and forest paths that are wide enough for a small group of hikers to walk side by side.
The 5km-long embankment road from Bijeon Village to Seorim Park follows the Namcheon River that winds through the wide plains of Unbong. On this road, you’ll have a rare opportunity to see a number of endangered species and natural monuments, such as otters and mandarin ducks. In short, you’ll see nature in its pristine state.
The Unbong-Inwol Section includes an array of cultural and historical elements such as Hwangsan Battle Monument, The Holy Land of Korean Traditional Music, and the Birthplace of Song Heung-rok. This section is rich with history and culture, and a great place to take a leisurely stroll.
