Gyerimjeong Forest is located across the Honggye Bridge in Deulmeori, Bammeorijae Pass just past the entrance to Daewonsa Temple. Named after a pavilion in the forest called Gyerimjeong, it’s designated as a natural park in 1991. The place boasts a total area of 25,800㎡ and 8,358㎡ of mountainous terrain with high mountains and clear water. The cool shade under lush trees and clean stream make it a popular summer tourist destination.

Most of the trees in the place are oriental oaks. With clean air and icy clear water, it’s a wonderful place for families with children to spend a hot summer day in the nature.
